Traces of a glacier which went its own way / Sermip ingerlaarfia allakkoortoq

Summer 1996 I was in the residence of NIFCA in Qaqortoq.
There I took part in "Sten og Menneske" art project, in which artists create public art works of stone around the town.
I carved in bedrock art work named: "Sermip ingerlaarfia allakkoortoq" / "Traces of a glacier which went its own way".
I imagined a glacier which decided itself which way to go.
This unpretentious work of art shows the curved lines, which this imagined glacier with own will have left behind.
