Australia
I had a great opportunity to visit Vancouver Arts Centre's guest atelier autumn 2011.
In addition to living quarters I had a big working space.
There I drew an image of dead swan we found on our cottage beach.
Image is actually 12 drawings, measuring approx. 2,5 x 2,5 metres.
I lived in Mary Thomson House, which has two yards for light.
I cleaned up one of those, and made an image of sea horse using soil and bricks available.
Out of Context in Mary Thomson House's inner courtyard (1,7 x 4,9 m)
I think this is ready when nature has conquered space again.
Like usually, I used the possibilities available.
There is in Albany an art foundry, so I made a pronze sculpture.
There are holes in sandstone wall of art centre.
My plan was to make inside one of them a kangaroo fetus.
There it would be like in a pouch.
The proze sculpture became ready and I took a photo of it on site.
But as it wasn't allowed stay there, I brought it with me for some future occation.
